Special Interest Groups (SIGs) meet to discuss a common interest in a particular topic and are held regularly, except during the summer months. SIGs provide excellent opportunities for developing and maintaining professional contacts, promoting industry awareness and extending the technical knowledge of members.
SIGs are designed to build community and facilitate wide collaboration; therefore these events are free to everyone including members and non-members. We strongly encourage regular attendees to become members and support the WTIA’s role in this ecosystem, there are also added benefits at these events for members of our organization.
SIG leaders are responsible for the overall direction of our SIG events. They guide the topics and finalize content for each event as well as secure the speakers. If you have an idea for a future SIG topic or speaker, please e-mail info@WashingtonTechnology.org.
