The WTIA brings the technology community together through many networking opportunities throughout the year.  WTIA hosts both Signature Networking Events and less formal Tweet-Up Networking Events.

Signature Networking Events
WTIA signature networking events are casual gatherings that typically draw between 150 to 250 people. The attendees represent the younger demographic of our organization (ages 25-40) and are employees/managers from Microsoft, Amazon, Real Networks, and smaller start-up tech companies in Seattle. These networking events allow for attendees to meet one another, mingle, and grow with Washington’s technology community.

Cocktails & Contributions Networking Event
Cocktails & Contributions is our annual Holiday Networking event.  U.S. Marine Corps are onsite to accept new, unwrapped toys brought in by attendees.  This way while attendees are toasting to the Holidays and another great year,  they will also be able to give others the opportunity for a happy holiday season!

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the local community.

Summer Celebration Networking Event
The Summer Celebration is our annual summer networking bash. This event features raffle prizes with all of the proceeds going to our Charitable Partner Technology Access Foundation.

The mission of the Technology Access Foundation is to prepare underserved children of color for higher education and professional success by providing a rigorous and relevant K-12 curriculum focused in technology and science.

Oktoberfest Networking Event
Oktoberfest is a legacy TechAmerica (AEA) networking event. It features raffle prizes, food, drink and the chance to mingle with top leaders in the technology community.

Location: Redhook Brewery
Time: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Tweet-Up Networking Events
Technology Tweet-Up events are FREE opportunities to meet up, relax, enjoy exciting venues, and network! These events are fairly impromptu after work gatherings publicized through Twitter and various other social networking media.  They provide members and non-members alike the chance to socialize, collaborate and build connections with others in the technology industry as well as with WTIA staff!

Frequency: 4-6 times/year

Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm
