Presentation:
Often, we, as security professionals, require an immediate or inexpensive solution, or simply aren’t satisfied with our current toolset or solution. This presentation will focus on discovering new tools, as well as real-world use scenarios for proven tools already available in the security arena.
We’ll take a close look at tools like RAPIER, Nessj, and IDS Policy Manager and apply their use to situations familiar to us all. There will also be discussion around the benefits, as well as drawbacks, of free or open source applications.
