Steve Wood, Chair

For over 25 years, Mr. Wood has focused on emerging technologies and has the unique distinction of being on the founding team at Microsoft Corporation. At McCaw Cellular, while Mr. Wood was vice president of information broadcasting, he incubated Notable Technologies, the company that would become Wireless Services Corporation, a leading provider of wireless messaging services. He also helped found a number of start-ups, including Asymetrix (now SumTotal Systems), Starwave Corporation (now Disney Interactive) and Interval Research (an industrial research center). Mr. Wood is Chairman and CEO of Perlego Systems, a Bellevue based company offering mobile device management technology in a SaaS model. Additionally he serves as Chairman of Wireless Services Corporation and serves on the Board of Directors for Geospiza, a Seattle based bio-IT company. Mr. Wood holds a B.S. in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
