The WTIA is committed to bringing quality programs and services to our membership. This is part of our “mega-connecting” capability and how we fulfill our mission of helping Washington tech companies prosper. So we’re delighted to add our latest offering—the WTIA’s Education & Professional Development (EPD) program.
The strategy for developing EPD was to partner with the best organizations delivering the highest quality continuing education certifications, degrees and professional development courses offered to our members at a discount. The WTIA’s initial partners in launching EPD are as follows:
Blessing White A global consulting firm focused on team and leadership development through consortium meetings.
Washington Employers A 75 year old non-profit that increases the performance and productivity in Washington State by offering courses in management, supervision, professional and personal development.
Washington State University Our state’s research university globally recognized as a leader in clean energy R&D, offering a masters and certificate in Engineering & Technical Management.
University of Washington University of Washington Professional & Continuing Education program offers over 40 technology certificates for professionals wanting in-depth training.
We will be adding other high-quality offerings from top educational and professional development organizations as the WTIA’s EPD program evolves.
The demands of our technology driven, knowledge based economy makes the requirement for continuing education essential. As fortunate as the Northwest may be in concentrated tech talent, global pressure for innovation as a competitive differentiator demands a workforce that is continuously learning. Even the best educated IT professionals with the most demanding jobs will be challenged to meet their customers needs while expanding their knowledge. The WTIA’s EPD offerings will be a key resource for access to the courses that fit our members’ schedules, career objectives and interests.
